Norwegian Prima is the first in a new class of ships that showcases NCL’s latest innovations in hospitality, technology and entertainment. She offers a wide variety of opportunities for families to explore, enjoy time together and relax in peace.
Onboard, you’ll discover multiple first-at-sea innovations including a three-story transformational theater-nightclub, the Prima Theater & Club; a three-level racetrack with the Prima Speedway and the fastest slides at sea with the Drop and Rush.
Itineraries
Norwegian Prima, the first in a new class of ships from Norwegian Cruise Line, offers plenty of high-end touches. From the massive Haven suite complex at its back to the stunning, sculptural central atrium and the striking designs of many of its eateries, you’ll feel like you’re sailing in an elevated world.
The ship’s a big hit on many levels: it scores high in service, food and beverage, entertainment and activities. Plus, it’s packed with the cruiser-favorite amenities that are standard across all Norwegian ships.
But it also features some of the most exhilarating attractions at sea: The Prima Speedway is the largest and fastest three-level racetrack in the world; Galaxy Pavilion has racing and golf simulators; and The Stadium offers pickleball, ping pong and foosball tables. You can also try your hand at the two newest slides at sea, The Drop and The Wave, which are both 10 stories tall.
Other highlights include two shows in the Prima Theater, “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical” and “Noise Boys,” a tap dancing, beat-boxing extravaganza. These shows are included in the price of the fare.
Entertainment
When Norwegian Prima makes her debut in the summer of 2022, she will be the first in a brand-new fleet of cruise ships from Norwegian Cruise Line. She will offer a range of exciting itineraries, the highest staffing levels and space ratio of any new Norwegian ship as well as Brand-first experiences including Ocean Boulevard, Indulge Food Hall and The Concourse.
For entertainment, guests can enjoy a variety of live shows onboard the Prima. From Tony Award-nominated musical “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical” to a new dance show called “Light Balance Universe,” guests will have plenty of options to choose from.
For something a little more low-key, there’s also the return of Syd Norman’s Pour House and other hidden gems on board the Prima. Lastly, there’s also a big game show called “The Price Is Right LIVE on NCL” that gives guests the opportunity to compete for real prizes.
Dining
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is known for its complimentary dining options. These include a buffet, Indulge Food Hall, casual dining with pizza/burgers and sit-down restaurants.
The Indulge Food Hall, NCL’s first upscale open-air marketplace, boasts 11 diverse culinary venues including Coco’s, Q Texas Smokehouse, Starbucks, Seaside Rotisserie, Nudls, Tamara serving Indian dishes, the Latin Quarter, Tapas Food Truck, Garden Kitchen and Just Desserts.
Guests can also enjoy pub fare at The Local Bar & Grill and classic fare at Hudson’s and The Commodore Room. A new specialty restaurant, Onda by Scarpetta, brings the charm and effortless elegance of its critically acclaimed sister restaurant to the ship.
The Surfside Cafe is another popular spot, offering a variety of to-the-minute items. This bright and airy cafe features indoor and outdoor seating, with more menu choices than ever before. There’s even a new grill section featuring grilled favorites like burgers and hot dogs. Plus, there’s a pasta station and plenty of sweet treats.
Activities
Norwegian Prima, the first of NCL’s revolutionary new Prima-class ships, is brimming with fun activities for the whole family. From brand-exclusive racetracks to high-energy stage shows, the ship is filled with new and exciting options for guests of all ages.
One of the most popular attractions on the ship is the world-class Prima Speedway, which is the brand’s largest three-level racetrack at sea. This circuit is 22% larger than Norwegian Cruise Line’s past racetracks and offers high-speed thrills as racers reach speeds of over 48 kilometres per hour.
Another high-adrenaline attraction is The Drop, the world’s first free-fall dry slide that sets new G-force records. Adrenaline junkies can also test their skills on The Rush, a dual dry slide that corkscrews down 10 decks.
For a relaxing break, spend time on The Concourse, a seaside sculpture garden with interactive art installations featuring technology. Or take a stroll on Ocean Boulevard, a 44,000-square-foot outdoor space that wraps around the entire ship. Two Oceanwalk glass bridges lead to Infinity Beach, a stunning open-air pool area.
