Norwegian Pearl is a Jewel-class cruise ship, launched in 2006 and sailing itineraries primarily around Alaska and the Caribbean. She is 93,430 gross tons and is a mid-sized cruise ship in comparison to other ships in Norwegian’s fleet.
Like her Jewel-class sisters, Norwegian Pearl offers a variety of entertainment and activities for cruisers of all ages. These include rock climbing walls, a 10-pin bowling alley and a number of other sports and leisure facilities.
Entertainment
Norwegian Pearl is a popular ship that has plenty of entertainment to offer passengers. The ship offers various music festivals and themed cruises throughout the year.
During the evening, guests can enjoy live music and other performances. They can also participate in audience-participation games and adults-only late-night comedy shows.
The ship also offers several dining options and bars and lounges that are sure to keep the entire family entertained for a week at sea. Other activities include sports, a bowling alley and a luxury spa.
Norwegian Pearl was one of the first ships to offer a bowling alley at sea, located in the Bliss Ultra Lounge on Deck 7. The ship offers 16 different dining venues and 15 bars and lounges, as well as a casino, pools and a tranquil spa.
Dining
Norwegian Pearl has a lot to offer in terms of dining options. There are 16 chic restaurants, 15 bars and lounges, a dazzling casino and a tranquil spa.
Complimentary and specialty restaurants range from traditional fare to French, Italian, Brazilian and Asian cuisines. Then, there are casual pubs where you can enjoy a draft beer and Irish pub classics.
One of the biggest benefits of cruising with Norwegian is their free-of-charge buffet, which usually goes by the name Garden Cafe (on many of their ships). This is the place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner, with pre-made salad options and late-night snacks.
Aside from a large buffet, Norwegian has a number of other dining venues onboard including Teppanyaki and a fusion restaurant. Other choices include Q Texas Smokehouse and Moderno Churrascaria, a Brazilian steakhouse. And, if you’re craving something sweet, try Coco’s, a decadent dessert parlor. This venue serves a la carte milkshakes and sundaes.
Bars & Lounges
Aboard Norwegian Pearl, you’ll find a variety of bars and lounges. Whether you’re looking for something to do after dinner or just want to enjoy a drink and a quiet conversation with new friends, there are many options.
If you’re a fan of martinis, you’ll love the Spinnakers Lounge, where you can sip your favorite twist and take in the panoramic ocean views. This is one of the most popular bars onboard, and it’s sure to become your go-to spot.
You can also connect with the ocean at Vibe Beach Club, a private retreat for guests ages 18 and older. Here, you can enjoy sweeping ocean views and relaxing whirlpools.
The ship’s first-ever bowling alley is fun, too. At night, it transforms into a totally 21st-century dance club with plasma screens displaying music videos, shadow dancers and non-stop music.
Activities
Pearl offers a huge range of activities onboard for passengers of all ages. From pools and hot tubs to casino games, there’s something for everyone on board this jewel-class ship.
Guests of this ship will also have the opportunity to experience a variety of music and entertainment. This includes the Legends in Concert Live show, which features musical performances from 50s Rock ‘n Roll to 70s Disco to today’s top hits.
It’s a fun way to celebrate a special occasion or to just enjoy some good music with friends and family. The Cavern Club is another popular live music venue onboard, featuring a Beatles cover band and other acts.
Norwegian Pearl is also one of the few ships to offer bowling at sea, which was introduced on this jewel-class ship in 2006. As with all NCL “Jewel-class” ships, there are a wide variety of stateroom accommodations available, from the budget-friendly 143-square-foot balcony rooms to the more lavish Club Balcony Suites and Garden Villas.
