norwegian escape

Norwegian Escape is a relatively new Breakaway Plus-class ship that entered service in 2015. She’s one of four such ships, along with Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy.

For those who love a little luxury and a lot of entertainment, Norwegian Escape is the right choice. It offers all the features that a high-end cruiser might want, including state-of-the-art theaters, fine dining and plenty of extra-charge eateries.

Entertainment

Norwegian Escape is a large cruise ship that can accommodate a huge number of passengers. With a large selection of dining, activities and entertainment options to choose from, it’s a great choice for any vacation.

The theater on board the ship is a big hit, offering Broadway-style shows several times per week. This includes the Tony Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet, which will be on the ship from 5 March until 16 April and then moves to the Getaway Theatre from 1 May until 15 May.

Headliner’s Comedy Club is another popular venue on the Norwegian Escape, offering several different comedians throughout the cruise. There is also a nightclub on the ship called the Cavern Club, which is based on the famous Liverpool club where The Beatles first performed.

Guests can enjoy dance parties and theme nights throughout the evening. These usually start at 10:15pm and it’s important to arrive early to get a seat! Glow party enthusiasts will love the Spice H2O pool area which transforms into a nightclub, complete with strobe lights and DJ.

Dining

On Norwegian Escape, you have a wide range of dining options. Whether you want to grab a fish n’ chips and a cold beer at the pub or savor an authentic Japanese meal at Teppanyaki, there’s something for everyone.

You’ll also have plenty of options for dining outdoors, on a beautiful tropical night. Many ships have outdoor buffets with an endless selection of omelets, waffles, pasta, fresh fruits and more.

If you’re looking to expand your food palette beyond the complimentary options, you can opt for a specialty restaurant for either a flat cover charge or an a la carte menu. Some of these restaurants also feature a kids menu and a children’s area with fun activities.

There’s even a bar-b-que restaurant on board, so you can get your fill of ribs and chicken smoked over hickory, oak and pecan wood. This is a great way to experience new flavors and different styles of cuisine.

Cabins

Norwegian Escape offers a range of cabins, from studio rooms to luxurious suites. There are also a few options for families, including family suites with extra bunk beds.

Cabins on Norwegian ships can be divided into four broad categories: Windowless “inside” cabins, ocean-view cabins, balcony cabins and suites. On newer Norwegian vessels, the majority of cabins are balcony cabins.

These cabins are a good choice for families, as they offer a spacious living area and a private balcony. They are available in multiple grades and offer many amenities, including minibars, flat-screen TVs, WiFi and free in-room dining.

For those seeking more upscale accommodations, Norwegian Cruise Line offers a number of luxury suites, many of which are part of exclusive, keycard-accessed areas called The Haven. These suites can cost hundreds of dollars more, but they come with a lot of perks.

Activities

A Norwegian Escape cruise offers a huge variety of activities for guests to enjoy. From Broadway shows to games, demonstrations and more, the ship has something for everyone!

Norwegian Escape also has a large selection of free and for-fee restaurants. There are more than two dozen eateries, across a wide range of cuisines.

The main dining room offers three courses of international cuisine at lunch and dinner. It’s a great way to try different cuisines, and is a popular place for families to dine together.

In addition, the buffet, known as Garden Cafe, has a huge selection of food options and is completely free. You can go anytime during the cruise, or you can reserve a time slot through iConcierge.

For kids, there is a large rope course (the largest at sea) and a dedicated Kids’ Aqua Park with four multi-story water slides. Plus, there’s a teens’ area called Entourage that features a video arcade.
